1 Privacy Notice

1.1  Graduate Fashion Foundation (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates the www.graduatefashionweek.com and www.graduatefashionfoundation.com websites (the “Service”).

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your data. This purpose of this notice is to inform you about our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service, or provided by you in some other manner, or collected by us separately in the course of our dealings with you and /or your company. The notice also explains the choices you have associated with that data.

1.2  All your Personal Data shall be held and used in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (“GDPR”) and national laws implementing GDPR and any legislation that replaces it in whole or in part and any other legislation relating to the protection of personal data. 1.3  We use your data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. 

1.4   The Service is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect data relating to children. 

2 Data Controller

Data Controller means a person who (either alone or jointly or in common with other persons) determines the purposes for which and the manner in which any personal data are, or are to be, processed. For the purpose of this privacy notice, we are a Data Controller of your data.

4 Personal data we collect about you and how

4.1  Personal data means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. We may collect, use, store and transfer certain personal data  or information that can be used to contact or identify you (“Personal Data”). This may include, but not be limited to:

  • Identity data, which includes your name, home address, identity documents such as a copy of your passport;

  • Contact data, which includes your email address, telephone number, job title, and company name;

  • Financial data such as your bank account or payment card details;

5 Use of Data

5.1 Graduate Fashion Foundation uses the collected data for various purposes:

5.2  Under GDPR, the main grounds that we rely upon in order to process your Personal Data are the following:

  1. Necessary for compliance with a legal obligation – we are subject to certain legal requirements which may require us to process your Personal Data. We may also be obliged by law to disclose your Information to a regulatory body or law enforcement agency;

6 Disclosures of Personal Data

6.1  In order to provide certain services, we may share your Personal Data with third party service providers. We will not share your Personal Data with any third party where it is not necessary to do so, or necessary to provide a service to you. Circumstances when Personal Data may be shared include:

●  Email logistics / automation providers.

●  Website development, where we may need to provide website FTP access to our trusted development parties.

We require all third parties to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with the law. We do not allow our third-party service providers to use your personal data for their own purposes and only permit them to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions. 

6.2 We may use third-party Service Providers to monitor and analyse the use of our Service. For example, Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Service. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualise and personalise the ads of its own advertising network. You can opt-out of having made your activity on the Service available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visits activity. 6.3 Under certain circumstances, Graduate Fashion Foundation may be required to disclose your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g. a court or a government agency). For example, we may disclose your Personal Data in the good faith, belief, that such action is necessary to:

  2. To protect and defend the rights or property of Graduate Fashion Foundation;

  3. To prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service;

7 Transfer of Data

If you are located outside the United Kingdom and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the data, including Personal Data, to the United Kingdom and process it there.

7.2  Your consent to this privacy notice followed by your submission of such Personal Data and  information represents your agreement to that transfer.

7.3  Graduate Fashion Foundation will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy notice and no transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organisation or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information.

8 Security Of Data

The security of your data is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

9 Retention of Data

9.1  Graduate Fashion Foundation will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice. We will retain and use your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

9.2  Graduate Fashion Foundation will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of our Service, or we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.

9.3  In certain circumstances, once we have deleted or anonymised your data, we may need to retain parts of it (for example, your email address), in order to comply with our obligations under GDPR or other legislation, or for fraud detection purposes.

You have the right to:

  • Request access to the Personal Data that we hold about you (this is called a data subject access request);

  • Request correction of the Personal Data that we hold about you;

  • Request us to erase all Personal Data that we hold about you;

  • Object to us processing your Personal Data in certain circumstances;

  • Request restriction(s) of us processing your Personal Data in certain circumstances;

  • Request the transfer of your Personal Data to you or to a third party;

  • Withdraw consent at any time where we are relying on your consent to process your Personal Data (but that will not have any impact on any processing carried out before you withdraw consent). Consent withdrawal may impact how we provide the Service to you.

Whilst there is no fee payable in order to exercise any of these rights, if you make unjustified, repetitive, excessive, requests, we may charge you a reasonable fee for dealing with them. You may also need to give us specific information in order for us to confirm your identity, as a security measure, in relation to the exercise of your rights listed above.
