The countdown is on for Graduate Fashion Week 2019, and we’re excited to announce that YKK — the global provider of fastening solutions for the creative industry — are back, sponsoring the YKK Accessories Award as well as hosting an Instagram competition and exclusive offer for GFW member universities!

The YKK Accessories Award looks for a modern directional approach to the accessories arena, covering millinery, shoes, bags, belts and jewellery. Read more details here.
This year sees the brand take a stand for the second time, designed and curated by YKK Europe Ltd. ambassador Kei Kagami. The space will host interactive activities with the opportunity to learn more on the brand. On Tuesday morning, YKK will also be hosting a panel discussion with an exciting lineup of creatives directors sharing their wisdom!

Free Zip Offer for GFF member universities
In the lead up to GFW19, YKK is offering fasteners to final year students from all GFF member universities free of charge. Students are invited to contact YKK London Showroom directly via email to select from available remnants stock from the YKK factory.
Students who require specific measurement zips for their garments can also place an order. YKK zippers can be made bespoke! There are different lead times for delivery but it could be up to 6-8 weeks from the payment. Products can also be delivered for a small fee.

Instagram Competition
In the weeks running up to GFW19, students of Graduate Fashion Foundation member universities have the chance to win a YKK goody bag and a day in the life with designer, Kei Kagami, in our Instagram #TagYourYKK Zip competition!
To enter, students must upload an image to their Instagram featuring their use of YKK zips, using the #TagYourYKK. Their entries can be creative, the zips may feature in final garments, toiles, fashion illustrations, fabric or mood boards. To be eligible to win, students must use the #TagYourYKK, and be following both @ykklondonshowroom and @officialgfw on Instagram.
The competition closes on Monday 27th May at 6pm UK time and the winning entrant will be announced on Friday 31st May 2019 by YKK.
