Sculptural silhouettes quickly became a running theme throughout the University of Salford 2016 show. The audience were captivated by the theatrical and outrageous nature of the collections, ranging from bold and striking tailoring, to the more elegant, flowing garments.
Fur was a key, contrasting feature throughout yet was effortlessly blended with more delicate, feminine shapes. Floor length pieces in sheer fabrics swept across the catwalk, emblazoned with tassels and metallic tones dramatically gathered to create a feel of fearless sensuality.
The more wildly printed collections were just as memorable for the combination of eccentric structuring, daring colours and the well-considered placements of geometric shapes.
