We are proud to announce that Swarovski will be this year's main sponsor for the renowned International Catwalk Show Competition; returning for its fifth year. The Swarovski International Catwalk Show Competition invites the world’s leading fashion institutes to enter their top graduate collection; GFW showcases the best and most innovative students they have to offer under one platform. From The New School Parsons in New York, Donghua University China, Bunka in Japan, Accademia Costume & Moda Rome and numerous other European institutes, it is set to be the largest show yet in the history of the worldwide competition.
Swarovski will also sponsor the the new Hilary Alexander Trailblazer Award, which will be given for a memorable collection that reflects the UK's enthusiasm for the new, the fresh, the untried, an example of a great new unpublished fashion direction, that reflects what British Fashion is renowned for worldwide.
Swarovski’s history in fashion began in 1895, when Daniel Swarovski invented a machine for cutting and polishing crystal. Daniel and his sons have worked closely with couturiers such as Worth, Chanel, Schiaparelli, Balenciaga and Dior and this year they will be working alongside the incredible young talent at GFW.
"We are delighted that Swarovski is sponsoring the International Catwalk Show Competition. They are renowned around the world for their work with graduates and emerging talent, and it is fantastic to have their support for what will be the largest ever show featuring 32 of the best institutes from across the globe." Martyn Roberts - Managing & Creative Director at GFW
