About me _____
Graduate Womenswear Designer from Kingston University
I am a designer specialising in womenswear and printed textiles based in London.
I am interested in the relationship between clothing and familiarity and designing archival pieces which are reflective of their nature and function. My graduate collection is inspired by images from my dad's market stall in the 90s, showing the clothes which people would wear during their everyday errands. Taking key pieces from these images and re-celebrating them.

The initial inspiration comes from early memories of Tommyfield Market, Oldham.
The collection - Tommyfield Market - is a love letter to the people of the market. It is a celebration of the everyday. Inspired by garments in photographs from the 90s, the collection explores these silhouettes and the people behind them. It is rushing through the market, carrying bags, dressing up for the day and seeing a familiar face. It is a celebration of community and togetherness.
The collection has a focus on print, using imagery from my grandmother’s photography of the market stalls at Tommyfield. This print fabric is used across multiple looks, paired with contrasting textures to replicate the everyday wear of the market goers.
