About me _____

Ciao! I am Beatrice, and one day I fell in love with leather.

I studied at Accademia Costume & Moda, where I had the opportunity to compare myself with different subjects: fashion, textile, leather goods and footwear, costume design and many more until, one day, I fell in love with leather.

What I like most about accessories design is the approach to the design process itself. It revolves around two key elements: beauty and functionality. Together they lead to functional objects, That must be in harmony with the shape of the body, but also have to look beautiful when detached from it. Like a bag when resting on a table, or shoes thrown on the floor remind of sculptures on display.

æssenza - the essence of the absence

Absence, emptiness, words that in Western culture assume a negative meaning, but instead, represent a concept dear to the majority of the cultural traditions of the East, according to which absence, meant as emptiness, is synonymous of infinite wealth and freedom. æssenza is therefore the result of a journey that investigates on the importance of empty spaces, their constant presence in the space that surrounds us, their relationship and contrast with full spaces, lights and shadows.

As in lanterns, from which the collection draws inspiration for shapes and volumes, also preserving the suggestions of the Berber origin. As a result a collection as white as a "blank" space, golden as the light and as brown as the tradition of craftsmanship. Finally, bamboo, which seems to be the perfect material example of the idea of "the essence of absence": empty, but strong. Therefore a research on dialectical elements, as symbols of a universal visual language.
