Hello, I'm Ella, a Fashion Branding and Communication graduate.

My design philosophy centres on authenticity, purpose, and human connection. I believe every project should tell an honest, emotionally resonant story. Inspired by trend forecasting, research, and everyday life, I blend visual storytelling with collaboration and experimentation to create meaningful, culturally aware work that connects deeply with people.

Sole Stories: Exploring Identity, Memory, and Creativity Through the Power of Footwear

Sole Stories is about personal discovery, creative exploration, and the unexpected ways shoes connect us to who we are. Fashion has always been a passion, sparked by my mum dressing me in outfits I’d still wear now, but for a long time, I overlooked shoes. That changed during a placement at a women’s shoe boutique, where I saw people fall in love with shoes daily. I began to see footwear not just as fashion, but as objects loaded with memory and identity.

What started as a final project became a personal celebration of the emotional and meaningful depth of shoes, told through photography, interviews, and storytelling. Sole Stories is published under Pigsty, a platform I founded to house raw, independent projects that value honesty over perfection. Pigsty champions visual experimentation, authentic narratives, and work that doesn’t fit the mainstream. Both reflect my passion for creativity without compromise.
