Remembering Pam Hogg

“Fashion designer whose idiosyncratic mix of glam and DIY couture was worn by Björk, Siouxsie Sioux and Taylor Swift” The Guardian

Pam Hogg (born c1959; death announced 26 November 2025) was known to Graduate Fashion Foundation as an Ambassador, an engaged supporter of young creative talents and iconic designer, not afraid to push boundaries and merge music and fashion with inimitable results.

From London Fashion Week shows to Glasgow School of Art, her creative spirit led to working with musicians such as The Pogues, Primal Scream and Nick Cave. The Scottish designer is known for her cult fame in the 80’s - a rebel in the fashion scene in London.

Her shows were filled with vibrant colours, famous faces and an encompassing soundtrack, alongside political messaging such as ‘The Soils of War’ in 2012.

“Pam Hogg was an eccentric, dominant London character,” added Zandra Rhodes, in a note to Vogue. “In the early 1980s, alongside the likes of BodyMap, Pam reinvented lycra catsuits and disco fashion. In more recent times, she lit up London with her fantastic fashion shows at Freemasons Hall. A prominent figure across the arts, fashion and British music scenes. The fashion world won’t quite be as vivid or rebellious now Pam is no longer with us. She will be greatly missed.”

Her family announced the news on Instagram. “The Hogg Family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Pamela. We are grateful in the knowledge that her final hours were peaceful and surrounded by the loving care of cherished friends and family,” the post reads.

Pam will be missed by all at Graduate Fashion Foundation, and our thoughts are with her family during this time
