This session demystifies careers in fashion PR, communications and influencing, offering practical guidance from professionals working across the industry today. From securing your first role to building a personal brand and navigating the evolving media landscape, the panel will share real-world advice on how to stand out and succeed. Attendees will gain insight into what brands are actually looking for in emerging talent and creators.

Meet the speakers:

Tracey Lea Sayer is Head of Channel at YOU Magazine Social and founder of @trayslounge, where she leads content across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and an upcoming podcast. Formerly Fashion Director of Fabulous Magazine for 17 years, Tracey has worked across print, digital and social media at titles including The Daily Telegraph, The Express and The Evening Standard. With a career spanning editorial fashion direction, global shoots and commercial partnerships, she has helped drive the transition from traditional print to social-first storytelling and is now part of one of the fastest-growing women’s media channels online.

Debbie Le Grainger is a former fashion buyer and stylist turned content creator. With a background in fashion marketing from the London College of Fashion and senior buying roles across London and European retail markets, she has worked from the shop floor to Buying Director level, including award-winning indie retailer Bullfrogs. After stepping away from the industry in 2013, she later rediscovered her creativity through blogging and Instagram, building a highly engaged audience through honest storytelling around fashion, style and motherhood, leading to collaborations with brands including Mothercare and M&S.

The session will be moderated by Elycia-Marie Ross, F&F PR & Talent Lead, who began her career in visual merchandising at Topshop Selfridges before moving into fashion supplier account management and later leading social media, marketing and brand partnerships at a fashion start-up. Since joining F&F in 2022, she has led multiple high-profile talent collaborations, delivering successful celebrity campaigns, PR activations and fashion-led brand events, working closely with press and talent to shape culturally relevant storytelling for the brand.
