About me

About me _____

Hi, I’m Morwenna, a fashion image and styling graduate.

I am a fashion image maker and creative director, who uses styling and set design to add femininity and authenticity to my images. I often take quite an emotional approach to my work, drawing on my own individual experiences and feelings to create images that reflect the human experience, specifically that of a woman. Throughout my degree, I have begun to take a much more experimental and conceptual approach to my creative work. My emotionally driven ideas often result in soft yet raw images that encapsulate my life experience and the experiences of women. As well as image making and art direction, I am also a crochet artist and I often bring my own crochet work into my styling, using the texture of the crochet to add tactility and softness to my images. My degree has allowed me to grow and evolve as a stylist and creative director, and I will continue to develop these skills as I transition into industry.

Inspiration _____

This feminine experience is a powerful one.

I have had a complicated relationship with my mind and body for my entire adult life, with mental health and body image issues at the forefront of my brain since my late teens. This aspect of my life has become a prominent source of inspiration for my creative work, using styling and direction to creatively work through my life difficulties as I continue into adulthood. My body, like most female bodies, is ever changing thus making it an ongoing source of inspiration as my feelings and views towards my body change as my body itself changes. This feminine experience is a powerful one and is something that I continue to explore through my creative work in a way that is cathartic for me and hopefully relatable for other women.
