About me _____
A Fashion Textiles graduate from UCA.
Alfie Stevens is a Fashion Textiles designer, specialising in Menswear. His application of printwork within a fashion context has earned him recognition from Kornit Digital and Graduate Fashion Week, being selected as a competition winner to travel to Italy and see his work be printed, as well as winning Gold at the Kornit x Graduate Fashion Week Catwalk.
A consistent theme throughout my work is exploring widely understood concepts, and creating a unique narrative by applying my own experiences. I enjoy using an amalgamation of visual research and bold colours, to create contemporary repeat and placement prints. By understanding garment construction, I am able to apply my printwork creatively within a fashion context.

Football has been a constant throughout my life, whether that be playing, coaching or watching:
Celebrating football through print is what inspired my collection. I wanted to explore my personal memories and connections within football throughout my life. I used old photos I had from playing and watching football as a foundation to build my imagery and narrative from. I also find it interesting that people around the world can watch the same games, experience the same feelings and emotions on a matchday, but create their own individual memories from it.
I collated imagery and objects associated with football using them to create a body of primary visual research and drawings. I visited places where I engage with the sport, including the local pitch where I play 5-a-side every week. Alongside this, I visited stadiums of professional teams to gain more generalised imagery to build my print designs from.
