About me _____
Fashion photographer
I specialise in fashion and portraiture-based photography. I explore themes of identity, sexuality, fantasy and the definition of camp. I intend to make more fashion-based work surrounding these themes and expanding into more creative areas.
I aim to create a world within each image. I don’t like making images with no backstory – I like to add gravity to an image – inside and outside of it. My work uses dynamic lighting techniques to create contrasting shadows and visual depth. I like to toy with the idea of what is considered camp within my work, adding features that don’t quite make complete sense. I think it’s fun. I think image making should be fun, in a world where lots of things aren’t very fun, it’s important to have a form of escapism that takes you away from reality.

What would 8-year-old Jack say?
Upon going on my own personal journey of learning myself and my sexuality; I have found a huge source of inspiration in my younger self. Thinking of the scared little boy that didn’t know what to make of his life. It took me a while to land on photography as a creative practice, but once I did it felt important to carry myself with me through imagery. I often think back to the level of creativity and expression I held as a child – trying to channel that within my work.
Not all my work categorically looks back at my past, but I want to make every shoot as creative as possible to fuel that childlike desire to experiment and create.
