Calling all future fashion designers! Looking for an opportunity to showcase your creative talents and show at Graduate Fashion Week 2027
The Graduate Fashion Foundation supported by PVH, are excited to announce the Young Talent of Tomorrow Fashion Design Competition 2027.
The Young Talent of Tomorrow Fashion Design Competition will have three winning outfits across corresponding age categories, with prizes including tickets to GFW 2027, an invite to a workshop in London to bring their work to life.
We invite you to design two garments, following the theme of ‘Reimagine, rework and reinvent’ for the chance to attend Graduate Fashion Week 2027 and see your piece come to life in digital form.
The Theme is: Reimagine, rework and reinvent
In an ever changing world, we have access to many exciting opportunities to reimagine what we have, into something new. Creating garments out of existing materials and fabrics, reinventing an item through considered design, inspires a more sustainable approach to fashion.
Graduate Fashion Foundation invites you to research materials that could be reused, discover the opportunities that recycling gives us and design two garments made out of these materials. Include your research, an explanation on why you selected certain fabrics or waste streams and how you would reimagine them into outfits.
You might take a look at tents made into outdoor clothing, plastic bottle recycling or natural materials turned back into thread for reuse. Start with research and share your thought process on the research page. Then move onto designing! Think about shape, colour and a story to tell with your entry.
Prizes
There will be three winners across the three ages categories:
Year 7 - 9 | Year 10 - 11 | Year 12 - 13 & College
1st Prize:
Your winning design will be created digitally and showcased in a celebration film at the Gala Show on Thursday 17th June 2027
You will be presented with a trophy and a fashion starter pack
Tickets for you, your teacher, and your family to attend GFW26 and watch the show
Participation in a digital workshop
Runner Up Prizes:
Tickets for you, your teacher, and your family to attend GFW26 to watch a gala presentation show of winning graduate work on Thursday 17th June 2027
Your work will be digitally showcased on the screen during the show.

The competition is open to all UK based students studying textiles, art or a relevant design subject between the ages of 11 - 18.
The Submission Deadline is 3rd March 2027
Submissions must include both the research and design page, labelled with the student’s name. Entries submitted after this time will not be considered. All entrants must be based in the UK and attending a UK based school or college.
Winners will be informed on 17th March 2027 and invited to attend an online workshop on 24th March 2027.
Students can also self submit if your school is not participating. Please gain permission from your parent or guardian.
